SemperOperaball 2012

Like every year, also at the 20th January 2012 in Dresden, one of the most important German dances takes place with international opera stars such as the German tenor Jonas Kaufmann, the Uruguayan bass-baritone Erwin Schrott, Latvian mezzo soprano Elina Garanca and many other and thus attracts even more of a broad public audience.

 

One of the highlights is the annual dance choreography of the debutant pairs. But also Dresdens St. George's Order of SemperOperaball, an award for special achievements and outstanding commitment will be given to representatives from the arts, sports and politics.

 

Among its graduates include renowned artists such as Michael Jackson and Bob Geldof, as well as world-class politicians like Vladimir Putin and Dr. Hans-Dietrich Genscher.

 

Whether as a on of 2,200 invited guests at the famous Semper Opera in Dresden, one of 10,000 revelers on the Theatre Square in front of a historic backdrop with live broadcast of the opening show on big screens - you can see, how celebrities make a stroll over the red carpet and how they dance and celebrate until early morning hours!

 

Ticket sales are already running - the ticket prices range from 190, - € for promenade tickets till about 400, - € for seat reservations. Doors open from 7 pm, opening 9 pm.
